Why is Emonda ALR so popular?

Emonda ALR frame features both lightness and comfort

The most remarkable feature of Emonda ALR is its light weight; it is lighter than other carbon bikes. Emonda ALR5 net weighs 8.3 kg; and with right customization of lighter parts, components and wheels, it can weigh as light as 6.4 kg!

Emonda ALR also provides you a comfortable ride despite the stereotype that aluminum frames are uncomfortable and stiff. A great number of cyclists say that Emonda ALR remains comfortable to ride even after cycling for over 100 km.

 

"ALPHA ALUMINUM 300" for Emonda ALR series

"Alpha Aluminun 300" is a robust material specially made for Emonda ALR. It is compressed into the frame which makes it possible to provide riders a high level of comfort.

The following are the features of the Emonda ALR frame.

 

■"Hydroforming Technology" allows us to shape metals into light weight but strong pipes.

"Hydroforming" is the technique applied to make Emonda ALR frame lighter. Pipes are molded through high pressure by liquid in the pipes which allows Emonda ALR frame to obtain high durability while molding it into thin and complex pipe shapes.

 

■"Invisible Weld Technology" is the key to comfort.

"Invisible Weld Technology" adopted for Emonda ALR is the underlying component to achieve supple frames. Emonda ALR's comfort and lightness come from this technology.

Thanks to the Invisible Weld Technology, we are able to succeed in retaining strength on joints with minimal materials as well as its flexibility. It is well-weld evenly, that is why Emonda ALR frame is light and supple.

It has 10 speeds on rear and 2 speeds on front and is the most reasonable priced model in Japan. It has an amazing cost performance though it is lightweight because of "Alpha Aluminun 300." It is given a very reasonable price tag of under 140,000 yen.

The most popular model among Emonda ALR series, Emonda ALR5 has lighter fork than Emonda ALR4 and the SHIMANO-105 component is installed. The fusion of lightness, toughness and smoothness of shifting assures all riders a satisfying experiences, more so to advanced riders.
